GGP Consult were engaged to provide planning, civil & structural design, and construction support to the Isle of Grain project to an existing operational Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) import facility based in the Isle of Grain, Rochester on the East Coast of England which forms a key role in delivering natural gas for the UKs national energy infrastructure.
The 50MW Gas Plant Project is located on a brownfield site within the existing terminal boundary and consists of 4 x MAN engines powered by natural gas via a pipeline from the existing terminal. The project goal is to deliver 50MW’s of additional flexible electricity generation capacity to the network.
GGP Consult were engaged to provide planning, civil & structural design and construction support for 7 No. 49.99MW battery energy storage (BESS) projects, with a nominal 50MWh of usable capacity at beginning of life. The Project is intended to deliver a range of services to support the UK electricity network including; Firm Frequency Response, Dynamic Containment, Reactive Power and trading on the intraday power markets.
GGP have worked on all aspects of the project, providing planning, overall master plans, civil design package for tender and construction.
